GBP FAQ:

What kind of art do I do?

Hi! My name is Greyson BP, I study studio art at the University of Virginia with a specialized focus in painting/drawing. I enjoy working across an array of mediums, including oil, acrylic, water color paints, pencil or ink drawing, and digital art. My favorite types of art to produce are abstract works, nature-focused works, and portraits.

Why do I do this?

Art for me, is about beauty, and not necessarily in simply a visually appealing manner. There is beauty to be found in all shapes and sizes everywhere in the world, but we also live in a world where it is so easy to see the ugly. Through art we are guided to look past, or into, the ugly and find the beauty within. There is something very special to me about being able to see the world this way and contribute in my own way to making the world a more beautiful place.

What do I like to do when I’m not making art?

When I’m not actively creating, I like to go on hikes with my husband and our dog. I really like to cook, and I am learning how to play Mario Kart! (and killing it according to my husband who is not biased at all) A lot of what I do when I’m not creating is taking it all in, there’s art everywhere and you certainly don’t need to be creating it to experience all it has to offer.
